Engineered flooring

2-layered engineered flooring – is a flooring that consists of two elements glued together under pressure. The top layer consists of solid oak and the bottom layer is multi-layered plywood.

Throughout the length of the bottom layer of the planks, there are plywood undercuts that are essential for stable and reliable usage of the flooring. Edge and planks end of such flooring have the “tongue-groove” profile, which allows you to combine the flooring into solid surface.

The benefits of such flooring include more resistance to slighly lower or higher humidity levels than solid wood flooring, which adds possiblity to use such flooring in damp basements or in regions that have higher or lower moisture levels.

You can even fit it with confidence in bathrooms and kitchens as well as over floor heating, in the other words, in the places where solid wood flooring would normally not be recommended.

Generally the trend these days goes very strongly towards engineered flooring, the reason is that the engineered flooring is more stable and reliable, therefore it has less bending and deformation of wood and second of all it is more affordable. All this, makes it nowadays more popular than classic solid wood flooring.

Classification of the grades for width 160 – 220mm:

• Select – the highest grade of wood, produced by mixed wood sawing. Light knots  up to 5mm and cells up to 3mm are allowed. The front side has a uniform design without flat heart-shaped strips. The color is even, typical of that type of timber without big color changes, any blotches and any custom colors.

• Natur – products of this grade of wood were manufcatures by means of  mixed wood sawing. Front side has a uniform design. Big color contrast, sapwood, rot, wormholes, mechanical damage are not allowed. Knots are allowed: sound knots – up to 15mm in diameter, black knots – up to 5mm. Slight changes in the color within a timber tone are allowed.

• Rustic A – products of this grade of wood were manufcatures by means of  mixed wood sawing. Front side has a uniform design. Big color contrast, sapwood, rot, wormholes, mechanical damage are not allowed. Knots are allowed: sound knots – up to 30mm in diameter, black knots – up to 15mm. Average color variation is allowed

• Rustic B – mixed wood sawing was used during the production. Allowed: big color changes on the front side; healthy knots: light – up to 60mm and dark with a diameter up to 25 mm, partly rotten not pass – through knots, kernel is possible, small cracks that do not extend to the edge. Color is typical of that type of the wood. Big color changes and color variations are allowed. Not allowed through holes, wormholes, over humidity, sapwood, through cracks.

* – Position 600 – 2400 mm – is a composite pack, which consists of the length 600, 1200, 1800 and 2400mm;

* – Thickness 12/3 – it’s 9mm of plywood and 3mm of oak lamella (oak layer). General thickness – 12mm;

* – Thickness 16/4 – it’s 12mm of plywood and 4mm of oak lamella (oak layer). General thickness – 16mm;

* – Thickness 21/6 – it’s 15mm of plywood and 6mm of oak lamella (oak layer). General thickness – 21mm.

You can not make up your mind or you do not know if it is worth it ? After visiting “Characteristics” or our “Gallery” you are unlikely to remain unsure.

* – All products have been grinded by grain 120-150. Edges can be sharp or with bevels.
